A Malta-born designer educated in Malta, Switzerland, England and Italy, where he graduated in industrial design from the Istituto Europeo di Design and obtained a Master’s degree in industrial design from Domus Academy. In 2002 he founded Studio Gordon Guillaumier in Milan and began designing products for international companies, ranging from upholstered furniture to ceramics. His work also includes artistic direction and interior design through an approach that combines balance with attention to visual, tactile and textural aspects. Gordon Guillaumier’s awards include the Wallpaper* Design Award 2014, an Honourable Mention at the XXIV Compasso d’Oro in 2016, the ADI Ceramic Design Award 2016 and an NYCxDesign Award 2019. He has lectured at the Politecnico di Milano, Faculty of Industrial Design, and at the Abadir Design Academy. He is part of RODA’s artistic direction team.
